We purchased a EMCO Screen door at Home Depot about 4 yrs ago or so. It featured a invisible screen when you pull down the window. The bottom of the door has a window which was what we wanted so our dogs could not break a screen. This window stopped working for us a few months ago as the top window while down has completely fused to the frame of the lower window. We can not move the upper window at all back into its position due to the fusion. I contacted EMCO to discuss this issue. I had to ask for a supervisor as I was getting no solution from the operator. I explained the door problem and sent several pictures to the supervisor. I received a call today from the supervisor who told me that warranty would not cover the door. I explained that my husband is a 100% disabled veteran and was not able to replace the window because the whole frame was fused as well as he is not capable due to his disabilities and the fact that the door is fused. Emco said they would do nothing to replace the door. These doors are very expensive and we can not close the window at all to protect the door from rain due to the window fusion. I feel that EMCO does not stand behind their products and obviously make inferior products. Please can you help us resolve this issue?
